On September 7, Zhao Hongzhu, secretary of the CPC Zhejiang Provincial Committee, led a delegation to Beijing to participate in an introduction meeting of Zhejiang Innovation Base for Research Institute (Qingshan Lake Technology Town) and Zhejiang Innovation Park for Foreign Talents (Future Technology Town). This meeting was co-organized by the People’s Government of Zhejiang Province and the Ministry of Science and Technology. Zhejiang Research Institute of Chemical Industry (ZRICI), as the first batch of research institute moving in Qingshan Lake Technology Town, was invited to participate in the meeting. Wang Xiaohua, vice secretary of the Party committee of Sinochem Lantian, and Wei Youchang, vice president of ZRICI, attended the settle-in ceremony.
Qingshan Lake Technology Town aims to develop into an internationally and domestically advanced region for pooling scientific and technological resources, achieving new innovations and incubating high-tech industries. ZRICI Qingshan Branch, covering an area of 3.4 hectares, is planned to complete construction in 2016 with an investment of RMB 16 million. As an important research institute for advanced materials, ZRICI Qingshan Branch will focus on the research and development of new energy materials, environmentally-friendly materials, analysis and determination and application technology.
